• Is this a real personality test?

  It’s a real self-report inventory built on the public-domain IPIP-NEO item pool — the same open item pool used in academic personality research. But it’s a portrait, not a verdict: it reflects how you described yourself today, and it is not a clinical, psychological, or hiring assessment.

• What is the Big Five?

  The Big Five (OCEAN) is the trait model personality psychologists actually use: Openness, Conscientiousness, Extraversion, Agreeableness, and emotional style (Neuroticism in the research literature). Each trait breaks into six facets — 30 in all — which is what the full Dossier unlocks.

• Is this the MBTI / 16 types?

  No. Four-letter type systems sort people into boxes; the Big Five describes traits on continuous dimensions, which is how the research actually models personality. Persona Mosaic’s archetypes are a reading of your two strongest traits, layered on top of your real scores — not a box.

• How are my scores calculated?

  Each statement is scored 1–5 (reverse-keyed items flipped), averaged into facets and traits, and shown 0–100. Comparisons are labeled against published research samples — not presented as your exact rank among all people.

• What does the one-time purchase unlock?

  The full Dossier: all 30 facets, your complete archetype narrative and emblem, and how your traits interact. The 120-statement inventory and your five trait bars are free. One purchase, yours forever — no subscription. Use “Restore Purchase” on a new device.

• Do you collect my data?

  Yes, any time. Personality self-reports vary a little with mood and context — that’s normal and the app says so.
